Restraining Orders

Most people know of restraining orders that keep an abuse partner away from a victim, but there are many other types of restraining orders used in Family Law. For example, if one party has an expensive community property asset, the court may restrain a party from selling that asset. Or a parent may be restraining from consuming alcohol while visiting with the children. Sometimes the orders can be issued ex parte, which means on an emergency basis. Mr. Alpert frequently obtains ex parte restraining orders within orders of a Client’s request.
